Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has delivered the 350th F-35 fighter aircraft wing to Lockheed Martin, marking a milestone in its role as a key supplier to the global F-35 program. The wing was produced and assembled at IAI facilities using advanced manufacturing technologies.
The milestone was marked at a ceremony at IAI’s F-35 wing assembly line, attended by senior Israeli government officials, including Israel’s Minister of Defense, alongside senior executives from Lockheed Martin and IAI.
The F-35 stealth fighter aircraft is operated by the U.S. Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps, the Israeli Air Force, and multiple militaries worldwide. According to IAI, the aircraft is operational with the Israeli Air Force and plays a role in missions across multiple arenas.
Israeli Minister of Defense Israel Katz described the delivery as a “significant milestone,” highlighting the strategic relationship between Israel and the United States. He thanked IAI and Lockheed Martin employees for their contributions to the program.
U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee called the delivery a symbol of the partnership between the two countries, noting the collaboration between Israeli and American industry in the program.
Nick Drazic, Vice President of Operations at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, said the F-35 program relies on a global supplier network, describing IAI as a collaborative and reliable partner over four decades.
IAI President and CEO Boaz Levy said the milestone reflects the company’s long-standing partnership with Lockheed Martin and broader U.S.–Israel aerospace and defense cooperation. Yaacov Berkovitz, Vice President and General Manager of IAI Aviation, said IAI has delivered high-quality wings since 2014 and described the 350-wing mark as evidence of its production capabilities.
IAI began producing F-35 wings in 2014, and its collaboration with Lockheed Martin dates back to the late 1980s. The company described the partnership as reflecting decades of technological cooperation and joint commitment to defense programs.
IAI is one of Israel’s largest technology employers and develops systems across space, air, land, naval, cyber, and homeland security domains, including satellites, UAVs, missiles, air defense systems, and aerostructures.
